Vintage Webb Design
Once every decade Webb Design makes a radical change in course. Our Beginning was in the 80s when Varityper was our typesetting tool. In the 90s we turned to Mac computers and the Internet, adding web development to our menu of services. The new millennium brought video and motion graphics to the mix.
We’ve always been about communication, about marketing our clients’ core industries—tourism and the fine arts – through well-designed collateral material, well-built websites, and simple, concise messages created with video, voice, text, music, graphics, and wit.
The work within this section was created for past clients, much of it by staff members no longer working for the company. But it’s work we’re proud of, it’s all part of our collective history, and so we share it with you.

American Express branding for Santa Fe market
industry: tourism
This point of purchase signage was designed for the unique clientele that visited Santa Fe in the late-80s. It uses the distintinctive black-on-black pottery made famous by Maria Martinez and family from San Ildefonso Pueblo. We also created a series of print ads that appeared in Santa Fe publications and promoted establishments accepting the American Express Card.

industry: art
This book was designed for the Museum of New Mexico Press in the early-1980s, even before we had our own typesetting equipment (remember Varityper?!). It was the first job designer Burrell Brenneman worked on when he joined the staff. The author is Suzan Campbell, still a friend and colleague.

RC Gorman, Navajo artist and Taos legend
industry: art
We have worked with Gorman's gallery for over 20 years, creating hundreds of ads, many posters and books, and several variations of RCGormanGallery.com. "Nudes and Foods" cookbook was written by Virginia Dooley, gallery director, and is illustrated with Gorman drawings. Gorman died in 2005 but the gallery continues to exhibit his artwork.
